Elysia cornigera Nuttall, 1989
Biology:
This is a small almost colorless sacoglossan, covered with papillations. If there is any pigment at all, it is opaque white with small red spots. The parapodia forms what appears to be a tall lobe medially. The rolled rhinophores are also covered with papillae. It feeds on the algae, Caulerpa and Acetabularia. Its maximum length is 15 mm. Its range includes Florida, the Bahamas, and elsewhere throughout the Caribbean. The species name "cornigera" refers to the horn-like rhinophores (Valdés et al., Caribbean Sea Slugs, 2006).
