One of six genetically and morphologically distinguishable taxa in the Elysia tomentosa species complex, and one of five occurring in the Indo-Pacific.
Associations:
Single specimen found on a Pacific variant of the green alga Caulerpa racemosa, on which it also was observed feeding.
Distribution:
Known from Guam and Lizard Island, Australia
