SUMMARY
The animal is white with a blue or green tint to light orange in ground color with a thick and dark brown/orange-red marginal band on the parapodia. The brown/orange marginal band is dotted with many small white markings. This coloration of small white dots on a dark orange background is repeated on the anterior half of the rolled rhinophores and the oral lobe. The inner parapodial surface is grey-green and the parapodial flaps are held over the body in life (Jensen, 1992).
"The body is bluish green (Fig. 1F). At the margin of the parapodia is an orange longitudinal band. Below this band is a black band. Both bands are covered with minute opaque white spots. The head is the same color as the rest of the body. The rhinophores and anterior margins of the foot contain the same sequence of orange and black pigment with white spotting as the parapodia...The branching of the [dorsal] vessels could not be determined, owing to poor preservation of the single specimen." (Gosliner, 1995, Proceedings of the California Academy of Sciences, 49(1), 13).
